Preparing for your stay at Bellwood

Congratulations on your decision to join our residential treatment program. To make your stay at Bellwood as comfortable as possible, please review the following guidelines below. Should you have any last minute questions or concerns, please contact our Assessment Department.

What not to eat

Please refrain from eating any foods containing poppy seeds two weeks prior to admission as poppy seeds may result in incorrect drug test results.

The day of admission

Here’s what you can expect on the day of your admission to Bellwood:
Upon your arrival at Bellwood, an Intake/ Assessment counsellor and volunteer will welcome you and guide you through our easy admission process.

After meeting with an Intake/ Assessment counsellor, you will be greeted by an administrative staff member who will help you complete the necessary paperwork and store your valuables. Once you’ve had a chance to get settled, a staff member or volunteer will provide you with a tour of our facility.
