Bellwood's Research Team's study has been published in the Journal of Substance Use , 13.07.10


Journal of Substance Use (Volume 15, Issue 3). The publication is titled "Comparing outcomes for alcohol and drug abuse clients: A 6-month follow-up of clients who completed a residential treatment program."

This study includes the treatment outcomes of 367 alcohol and drug clients admitted from 2004-2007, and is part of the larger outcomes study that we have been collecting data for over the past few years. In short, results showed that there were significant improvements in substance use and quality of life at 6-months follow-up. There were also some treatment outcome differences between certain substance users, for example, alcohol and marijuana use clients had better outcomes than cocaine clients at follow-up (though all improved significantly at 6 months)
